Men of the Church Cook Lunch for the Women

Banquet Prepared
The men take care to arrange the gourmet offerings artfully.
Let the Singing Begin
The men line up to serenade the women.
Hmmm
Kent leads the singing in unconventional garb.
Honoring Patti
At a recent luncheon both the men and women of the church honored Patti Brodeur for all that she does. Shown here with husband Tom.
A motto?
No...but the decoration at an earlier luncheon offers advice with a smile.

We have a wonderful selection of luncheons and events planned for the year. We hope you’ll be able to join us often, if not for everything planned! For more information, call the church office at: 904-821-8558.

March 23, 2017 – Malone Hall, 11:30-1:00

You are going to love Toula Wootan. You may have caught her Saturday radio show, Toula’s Tips for Caregivers, in which she dispenses an abundance of helpful information as well as candid encouragement. As a member of the Florida Council of Aging and currently the Community Development Officer with Hospice, Toula is well qualified to speak on varied issues related to aging. We look forward with happy expectation to having her as our speaker in March.

April 29, 2017 (Saturday) – Road Trip! Visit to an Organic Garden

Pack your sack lunch and join a carpool! We’ll be leaving Malone Hall at 8:45 am for a visit to Tim Armstrong’s organic garden at Eat Your Yard Farm and Nursery,” located at 8220 Moncrief Road, West Jax. Tea tasting is included as part of the day, and plants will be available for purchase. There is a $10 charge for this working farm visit.

No meeting in May

June 3, 2017 (Saturday) – Kingsley Lake, Women’s Retreat! 6157 Kingsley Lake Road, Starke, FL 32091, Times TBA

Many thanks to the women who are already making plans for our first COOS Women’s Retreat – among them are Kathleen Fannin, who will host the event at her beautiful Lake House, Tiffie and Lynette, who are employing their retreat leadership skills and experience, and Mary Ann, who, as usual, is balancing a dozen or more balls at once. Their efforts have borne fruit already as Reina Cherry, a popular women’s retreat speaker, has agreed to be with us in June. For a quick glimpse of Reina and her family, you can click here.
